Who Is a Good Candidate for Laser Hair Removal?
Sciton laser hair removal can be used virtually anywhere on the face and body. Some of the most common areas for laser hair removal include:
- Bikini line
- Legs
- Arms and underarms
- Back
- Upper lip
- Chest
Your Laser Hair Removal Treatment
During your treatment, our highly-trained certified professionals will place a glass-surfaced treatment device directly onto the targeted area and gently glide it over the skin’s surface as it targets and destroys hair follicles. You may experience a slight snapping sensation as the laser pulses. However, the cooling gel should help this mild discomfort.
The time it takes to complete your session will depend on the size of the treatment area.

Laser Hair Removal Downtime
While there is no significant downtime after treatment, you should avoid direct sun exposure for 2 to 4 weeks before and after each session.
It’s important to remember that while laser hair removal is an effective solution for long-term hair reduction, you will most likely need multiple treatments to achieve optimal results. This is because the laser is only capable of addressing hair follicles that are in an active growth phase.
The size of the treatment area, amount of unwanted hair, and your body’s response to treatment will determine your treatment plan. Most people have around 4 to 8 treatment sessions spaced 1 month apart to achieve their desired outcome. Since everyone’s needs are different, our providers will discuss your treatment options at your consultation.
