Clinic RN

Harrington + Associates Plastic Surgery is seeking a highly qualified registered nurse to join our plastic surgery clinic team! We are seeking a qualified individual to work in our clinic and surgery center. This role will include seeing surgery patients pre- and postoperatively, patient consultation, patient education, wound care, etc.. If you are or know someone who would be a good fit, let us know!

Pay Range – $95k to $105k annual, salaried

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor or Associate RN Degree.
  • 2 YEARS PREFERRED: Clinic experience in plastics and general surgery.
  • Graduate of an NLN accredited school of registered nursing.
  • Current licensure as a RN in the State of MN required.
  • At least two years of clinic/surgery experience in the last 5 years preferred.
  • Current certification in BLS.

Operating Room RN

Harrington + Associates Plastic Surgery is seeking a highly qualified registered nurse to join our operating room team! We are seeking a qualified individual to work in our fully accredited, office-based surgery center. This role will be for a circulating RN in our single operating room and for pre-op and PACU area. Pay Range – $95k to $105k annual, salaried

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Associate RN Degree.
  • 2 YEARS PREFERRED: Operating room experience including plastics and general surgery.
  • Graduate of an NLN accredited school of registered nursing.
  • Current licensure as a RN in the State of MN required.
  • At least two years of OR experience in the last 5 years preferred.
  • Current member of AORN preferred.
  • Current certification in BLS and ACLS or completed upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and directs patient care in the pre/post-op and operating rooms.
  • Assesses patient needs, develops individual plan of care, and identifies outcomes.
  • Ensures appropriate techniques and practices are used according to accepted standards of practice.
  • Assists surgeon(s), anesthesia personnel, and other O.R. staff as needed to ensure good patient care.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of infection control practices.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of sterile technique.
  • Manages the care of patients receiving sedation or analgesic medications while undergoing therapeutic procedures. Medication administration, patient monitoring, discharge instructions, family teaching and patient safety concerns are all nursing care critical elements.

Ability to:

  • Comply with company policies, procedures, practices and business ethics guidelines
  • Complete job required training
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)
  • Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance
  • Work in the surgery center during business hours
  • Travel independently throughout the surgery center frequent bending, lifting, standing, stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be required
  • Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlines
  • Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner
  • Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations
  • Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Understand and execute a variety of instructions
  • Effectively operate equipment
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
