Renuvion® Skin Tightening

Renuvion is a completely non-surgical treatment that contracts and smooths skin on the face and body. Renuvion is FDA-cleared for use after liposuction and to improve the appearance of loose skin on the neck and chin. It can even treat many kinds of severe skin wrinkling. We have also seen effectiveness for treatment of skin on areas of the body, particularly in conjunction with cellulite treatment. Renuvion may not be a good option for patients with darker skin tones.

We’ve found this treatment to be one of the best minimally invasive ways to achieve skin tightening.

To begin treatment, most patients will be placed under general anesthesia so they can sleep comfortably throughout the procedure. Local anesthesia may be an option in certain circumstances.

Once the anesthesia has taken effect, radiofrequency energy and helium plasma energy is applied to a thin layer of skin using the device wand. The wand is inserted just under the skin to deliver this combination treatment in a targeted way to the tissue most responsible for the appearance of sagging skin. The Renuvion treatment both contracts existing collagen fibers under the skin and stimulates the collagen rebuilding process to achieve additional skin tightening over time.

The healing process following a Renuvion treatment typically takes about 2 weeks. Redness, peeling, and some degree of swelling are all common during the healing process. We will advise you how to take care of the skin in the treatment area to minimize your recovery time and maximize your results.
