Sciton BBL Skin Rejuvenationin Minneapolis

Sciton's broadband light therapy logoSciton BBL™ skin rejuvenation uses customizable flash lamp technology and a broad range of wavelengths to allow for targeted treatment of a variety of skin concerns. BroadBand Light (BBL) Therapy is an effective nonsurgical photofacial treatment that addresses a multitude of changes in the skin due to aging, sun damage and other environmental factors.

BBL uses the power of intense pulsed light (IPL) to provide optimal results in skin rejuvenation. If you have sun damage, visible facial veins and/or uneven pigmentation, Sciton BBL™ skin rejuvenation may be right for you.

At Harrington Plastic Surgery & Med Spa, we understand that not everyone wants or needs surgery to achieve their best look. Female plastic surgeon Dr. Jennifer Harrington and her staff have helped men and women throughout Minneapolis-St. Paul with nonsurgical facial rejuvenation treatments.

Your BBL Skin Rejuvenation Treatment Options

Our highly-trained, certified providers will use the handheld device to glide across your skin. Unlike other intense pulse light (IPL) therapies, Sciton’s BBL skin rejuvenation can provide faster treatment since it is capable of treating a larger area size with higher pulse repetitions. Our patients are provided protective eyewear during the course of treatment.

Depending on your skin concerns, your provider can adjust the wavelength settings and use different adapters to treat different areas as well as a varying degree of needs including sun spots, redness, vascular lesions, and blemishes.

During treatment, the BBL thermal energy heats the skin’s outer layers. This photothermal energy is then absorbed into the skin, causing the hyperpigmented lesions and redness to gradually fade away while boosting collagen production. BBL’s added cooling technology helps to minimize any discomfort during treatment.

The Sciton BBL offers a variety of treatment options including:

Sciton BBL™️ Corrective Photofacial

Sciton BBL™️ Corrective Photofacial treatment corrects skin conditions related to aging and sun damage, including hyperpigmentation, brown spots, redness, and blood vessels.

Sciton Forever Young BBL™️

Sciton's forever young BBL logoSciton’s Forever Young BBL™️ treatment promotes and maintains healthy, youthful-looking skin. This 15-minute treatment can help slow the skin’s aging process on the face, neck and hands by disrupting the gene expression patterns of aging skin.

Sciton Forever Clear BBL™️

BBL forever clear logoAcne is a common skin concern that causes many people to feel self-conscious. Sciton’s Forever Clear BBL™️ offers a 2-step treatment process that can reduce acne-causing bacteria and inflammation, and encourage the skin’s natural healing process.

Sciton Forever Bare BBL™️

Sciton's forever bare BBL logoSciton Forever Bare BBL™️ offers a more comfortable and even solution than traditional laser hair removal. Forever Bare BBL uses lower light intensity at a higher pulse rate to create precise and even heating for fast, effective and comfortable hair removal.

Sciton BBL SkinTyte™

Sciton's SkinTyte logoSciton’s SkinTyte treatment uses advanced infrared light technology, and individually-customized filters to heat deep within your skin’s dermis while cool-protecting the outermost layer of skin. This thermal energy can help stimulate the skin’s collagen and firm and tighten lax skin for a more youthful appearance.

Depending on your specific goals, Dr. Harrington may recommend combining your BBL treatment with other surgical procedures or nonsurgical treatments to maximize your results and help get you closer to the look you want.

BBL Skin Rejuvenation Downtime

Because of BBL’s noninvasiveness, there is little to no downtime involved. Most patients can return to daily activities shortly after treatment. Minimal redness and puffiness may occur immediately following treatment into a few days after, but these after-effects can be easily masked with makeup if necessary.

Although individual results vary, most patients experience continued improvement in skin tone over the course of the next several days and weeks. Depending on your specific needs, Dr. Harrington may recommend a series of 2 to 5 treatments every 3 to 4 weeks for optimal results. We also recommend ALASTIN’s Pre- and Post-Procedure product line to support the best possible results.
